Braves make roster move ahead of series with Rangers
Kim Klement Neitzel-USA TODAY Sports

The Braves have tweaked the roster before their weekend series with the reigning World Series champions, optioning outfielder Forrest Wall to Gwinnett and calling up Luke Williams.

Forrest Wall was one of the bright stories of Spring Training. He was tearing the cover off the ball and rightfully given the final spot on the Braves roster. At 28-years-old, it was his first time ever making an Opening Day roster.

This demotion is about getting Wall some playing time more than anything. Over the first three weeks of the season, he had only appeared in two games for the Braves with one at-bat. Now, he’ll have the opportunity to play everyday in Gwinnett and will be ready at a moment’s notice if there becomes a need for another outfielder.
