Bills Mafia sent Dane Jackson 'letters' of encouragement and 'edible arrangements' after scary on-field collision

Nine days ago, Buffalo Bills cornerback Dane Jackson left the field by ambulance after a frightening collision on "Monday Night Football" against the Tennessee Titans. 

Miraculously, Jackson escaped the scary-looking hit without suffering a significant injury. 

Only experiencing soreness in his neck now, Jackson returned to Bills' practice on Wednesday. 

While Jackson waited patiently to get back on the field, Buffalo fans, better known as "Bills Mafia," helped keep the cornerback's spirits up with gifts sent to his house. 

"It was crazy, man — the amount of support I received. Shout out to everybody that supported me, reached out, did anything," Jackson said, via WROC-TV's Thad Brown. "I got letters to my house, edible arrangements to my door. I really truly appreciate that from the heart; shout out to everybody who reached out and was truly concerned for me." 

Jackson said it "meant a lot" to be back on the practice field and reflected on the uncertainty he felt after the injury. 

"It was scary in the hospital not being able to move or anything like that not knowing ... really the unknown was the most scary part," Jackson told reporters, via Alaina Getzenberg of ESPN. "Once I knew everything was good, then I kind of relaxed."

Bills head coach Sean McDermott said the team would assess how Jackson feels Thursday regarding the plan moving forward, but they remain hopeful he can return to game action soon.
